Club Sail Taster Day As we have our Sail Taster day at Gravesend Sailing Club this Sunday (22nd July) there will be no club session at Cygnet Leisure Centre.
Open Water Open water awards have been taken today (Sunday 15th July 2007) and successfully passed by all. Congraulations. Library Display This years library display is to take place for one week, 4th - 11th August 2007.
Heartstart UK The Heartstart UK affiliation has now been approved. This will mean we are now able to offer Heartstart UK courses in the to members of the public. SWIMATHON You may already be aware but if not please applaud the following members of our club. On Saturday night Gemma, Chris B, Savanna, Nicole, Steve, Andy, and Ellenor who all took part in the Swimathon. They were brilliant and represented the club enthusiastically completing 110 lengths each save Andy who completed 128 and Gemma, a wapping, go the whole hog 200 lengths.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING
GLSC is offering free training in Basic Life Support Skills. Dates and venues are being arranged so if you are interested please email us with your contact details. We will then be in contact shortly to offer your training. (We would be asking for a donation towards the scheme if you attend). The session lasts two hours. Club Fleece
Our club fleece is now available to order. If you would like one the cost is £20 and you need to state which size you want. Please pass money and sizes to Sheila when you pay your weekly fees. The initial order only comes in adult sizes. More details about junior sizes soon.
Club handbook issued to all members. Make sure you get your copy when you join. It explains details about the club, awards, etc. and hopefully be a good source of reference for club members.
