We will return after the summer break on Sunday 14th September 2008. There may be events on over the summer so keep in contact to see what's going on.
Open Water
Our open water practice day will be Sun 20th July 2008. You need to be at Sheerness Life Guard Stn. at 11.15am. We will meet at Cygnets car park at 10.15 to leave at 10.30. Car parking cost £3.20 per day. Bring a pack lunch, wet suit if you have one, and shoes to wear in the water. Assessment date arranged for Sunday 31st August. Please contact if you are interested in this.
GLSC Fun Day Out at Shorne Country Park
To celebrate 30 years of Gravesham Life Saving Club, we are having a fun day at Shorne Country Park on Sunday 3rd August 2008. If you want to come along please let us know. We will be meeting in car park in club shirts / fleeces at 11am.

National Rescue Award for Swimming Teaches & Coaches
Congratulations to five club teachers who have recently passed their National Rescue Award.

Latest prices regarding Award fees, books, etc. now available on the Club Price list page. We have revised our weekley fees for 2008, the information sheet may not contain up to date information yet. Please check at time of joining.

New Rookie Lifeguard programme...
September 2008 should see the
introduction of the revised Rookie Lifeguard award. This fits in with
the National Plan for Teaching Swimming at Level 8. We do not have all
the details yet, but if you are aged between 10 and 13 years old, Rookie could be for
you. Contact us for more details. Visit the joining details page for an application form and information sheet.
Club Fleece
Our club fleece is now available to order. If you would like one the cost is £20 and you need to state which size you want. Please pass money and sizes to Sheila when you pay your weekly fees. The initial order only comes in adult sizes. More details about junior sizes soon.
Club handbook issued to all members.
Make sure you get your copy when you join. It explains details about the club, awards, etc. and hopefully be a good source of reference for club members.
